Recently, Star Sports, a leading Indian media channel, playfully engaged its fans with a video that gently criticized the Bangladesh cricket team and their famous celebratory dance known as ‘naagin dance’.
“Can Bangladesh finally win a match against India, or will Team India fans celebrate another victory? Naagin Dance? No chance!” » reads the caption of the Star Sports announcement.
In response, Bangladeshi sports media outlet Tsports responded, further delighting fans: “Teams tend to excel on their home turf, but what about when they venture beyond their borders?
Both messages are going viral on social media platforms, intensifying the tension between the cricket teams.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 began without fanfare on October 5 and is currently hosted by India. This is the 13th edition of the prestigious Cricket World Cup and is scheduled to conclude on November 19, 2023.
