GILLETTE, Wyo. — Tonight’s Campbell County School Board meeting will feature Nutrition Services Director Bryan Young’s presentation on potential meal price increases for the upcoming school year.
Meals will also be the subject of the school board dinner which officially begins at 5 p.m.
At the June 13 board meeting, Young said the board should consider raising the price of meals for children. Young said rising food costs make it very difficult for the district to prepare student meals for less than $1.80 per meal. The district charges $2.50 for lunch at the elementary school and $3 for lunch at the high school, while still having to pay for nutrition services’ salary, benefits and supplies.
