Four Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) faculty and staff have been selected to present at the 58th National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) Annual Conference, November 8-12 in Chicago.

From the foundational level of curriculum teaching and program leadership at CHC, the panel will share best practices in special education from multiple perspectives: recruitment, pedagogy, community engagement, and leadership development. They will also note their honors programs, including the International Scholar, Emerging Scholars, and Sophomores-Serve program.
THE NCHC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and enhance the community of educational institutions, professionals, and students who participate in specialized college education worldwide. NCHC membership totals nearly 800 institutions in the United States and around the world, with affiliated professional and organizational memberships also available.
The annual conference highlights research presentations from students and faculty across the country while providing training and development for specialized program administrators and staff. This year’s theme, “Revolutionary Honors: Liberty, Equality, Humanity“, examines how colleges and specialized programs can improve the world of tomorrow through actions of today, brought together in the themes of freedom, equality and humanity first heard during the French Revolution and codified by the Third Republic.
The national submission process for the NCHC Annual Conference is highly selective, with hundreds of students and faculty submitting proposals each year. Presentations at the NCHC conference provide a unique opportunity to showcase the work being done in honors around the world and grow the national conversation about honors, providing other fellow honorees a chance to discuss the topic, explore collaborations, research and innovation.
