Hyderabad: National Ayurveda Day 2023 is expected to be celebrated worldwide in around 100 countries on November 10, 2023, organized by the Ministry of Ayush with the collaboration of all national ministries.
The event is intended to be a national programme, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as highlighted by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, during a meeting of different ministries. The 8th Ayurveda Day will focus on the theme “Ayurveda for everyone, every day”.
Celebrated on Dhanvantari Jayanti, which corresponds to the Dhanteras day of the Hindu calendar, National Ayurveda Day urges people to promote and globalize Ayurveda as an ancient and holistic medical approach. This occasion provides an opportunity to learn more about Ayurveda, its benefits and advocates for its use as a system of complementary and alternative medicine. The day is marked by various events in India including free health camps, seminars and exhibitions.
Ayurveda, a traditional medical system that originated more than 5,000 years ago in India, is based on the belief that the human body reflects the universe and achieves health through balance with nature.
