Stress is one of the main causes of staff absence and loss of production.
As part of the Council’s March for Business month, a free two-hour online session will be held to support local business owners and employers on the topic of mental health and stress awareness.
Taking place on Thursday March 14, from 10am to 12pm, the event will be organized by RCS and the interactive session will cover:
- Defining and understanding mental health and stress.
- Breaking the stigma.
- Identify the signs, symptoms and triggers of poor mental health and stress.
- Coping strategies.
- How to support someone (or yourself) facing poor mental health and stress.
- Tips for having good conversations about mental health and stress.
In addition to addressing these topics, guidance will also be put in place for additional support, if employers deem it necessary.
Councilor Jason McLellan, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth and Anti-Deprivation, said:
“Raising mental health awareness in the workplace is a hugely important topic, and I’m pleased to see this free session being offered to local businesses in Denbighshire.
This session will cover some really impactful and important topics, which is why I urge all businesses to register to learn more about how they can support their employees.
