Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and icddr,b have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for prevention, treatment and research of diseases.
The event took place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room of BSMMU.
Prof Dr Sharfuddin Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU, said that BSMMU works on treatment, education, services and research in equal measure. We are also strengthening disease prevention and research related to the public interest. BSMMU has initiated clinical trials on many disease cures as part of its research.
“We have reached agreements with many local and international organizations. Today’s agreement is one of them. Thanks to the agreement between BSMMU and icddr,b with the Global Health Network, this university will benefit from various opportunities and advantages,” he added. .
Dr. AKM Mosharraf Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) Tr Prof. Dr. Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, treasure, professor Dr. Mohammad Hossain Dean of the Faculty of Surgery, professor Dr. Atiqul Haque Tuhin, dean of the Faculty of Social and Preventive Medicine, scientist and researcher (non-communicable diseases) of icddr,b Aliya Naheed and others were present in the program.
