This year’s National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo will take place in sunny San Diego, California, where the organization will celebrate 90 years of innovation in the pharmaceutical industry. Attendees, speakers, retailers and exhibitors will converge (the theme of this year’s meeting) at the San Diego Convention Center August 12-14 to participate in informative panel discussions, meet partners and gain insight into the evolving pharmaceutical market.
Sessions to watch
On August 12, panelists will discuss the importance of closing the gap in women’s health and well-being, including in underfunded and understudied areas, how to break the taboo of steps of life like menopause, and the importance of advancing women’s health messages and products for the greater market. On August 13, NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, FASAE, CAE, IOM, and NACDS President Michael Wysong, CEO of Care Pharmacies Cooperative, will kick off the program business of the meeting, leading an in-depth discussion on national and world events. The session will also include a discussion with Peggy Noonan, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist at Wall Street Journal and best-selling author, among other accolades.
On August 14, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., attendees will be able to attend one of 6 Insight Sessions, where speakers will discuss topics ranging from innovative care models for communities, to the consumerization of healthcare and the latest of pharmacies’ views on the supply of medicines. Drug Topics will be on hand to cover these sessions, including an interview with speakers Doug Long, vice president of industry relations at IQVIA, about his session “Pharmaceutical Trends, Issues and Forecasts for 2023.”
