The first edition of Beauty Forward will examine the evolving concept of beauty for the next generation. Our exploration will encompass the impact of emerging trends and technologies on important sectors such as skincare, haircare, makeup and fragrance.
The three-day event is scheduled to kick off in the Asia-Pacific region (January 29), followed by Europe (January 30) and North America (January 31). Our field editors will be joined by a host of industry experts to discuss how the industry needs to align with the behavior and preferences of tomorrow’s beauty consumers.
In this inaugural edition, we’ll look to the future, examining how the concept of beauty is evolving for the next generation. We will examine how the industry must align with the expectations of tomorrow’s consumers.
The summit will kick off in APAC with three sessions: Next-Gen Skincare Opportunities, Next-Gen Color Innovation, and Decoding Next-Gen Asian Consumers.
Next, our European show will address next-generation beauty microbiome opportunities, next-generation circular beauty innovation, and discuss revelations from next-generation European skincare consumers.
We will close the digital summit with our North America broadcast that will explore next-generation hair care innovation, next-generation beauty opportunities, and next-generation trends in ingredient sustainability.
Ultimately, the summit aims to decode the perceptions and expectations of new consumers while anticipating the biggest opportunities and challenges the industry will face as it moves into the future.
In Asia, we will hear from Johanna Monange, founder of Maison 21G. For twenty-five years, Johanna worked tirelessly for several creative powerhouses in the fragrance industry, including Firmenich and IFF, where she took on the role of Creative Director. Her inspiring journey has led her to work alongside world-renowned noses and her life has been dedicated to developing fragrances for luxury brands such as La Vie est Belle for Lancôme, One Million for Paco Rabanne, Acqua di Gioia for Armani, Spicebomb for Viktor & Rolf. , and much more . In 2019, Johanna is pursuing her dream of founding her own Scent Design house, Maison 21G, with the aim of giving consumers the opportunity to unleash their creativity and become co-creators of their own signature scents.
We will also be joined by Xiang Wen Hong, Global Senior Director at Kenvue. With over five years of experience in global innovation and brand development at the headquarters of L’Oréal, the world’s largest cosmetics company, Xiang Wen has strong experience in brand growth strategy, innovation development and communications, and is passionate about science and consumer storytelling. She also has experience in global, regional and local roles within global matrix organizations, in both developed and developing markets.
In Europe, we will be joined by Jayn Sterland, Managing Director of Weleda in the United Kingdom. As the leader of a brand that has long been a pioneering force in sustainable beauty, Sterland’s wealth of expertise makes her the perfect person to discuss the future of circular beauty. Not only will she explain how the brand plans to move forward, but she will also reveal insights into next-generation sustainability for the entire industry.
On the topic of next-generation skincare, we’ll hear from Margo Marrone (founder of The Organic Pharmacy) and wellness influencer Roxy Marrone, who recently co-founded the holistic skincare and wellness brand , Eyeam. As younger consumers become increasingly fascinated by skin science, the mind-body connection and holistic beauty regimens, we will focus on the fusion of science and spirituality that is expected to take over the category and discuss the hot topic of psycho-dermatology.
In the United States, we will be joined by Walter Faulstroh, CEO and co-founder of HUM Nutrition. The California-based brand specializes in ingredient formulations that best meet an individual’s unique nutritional needs, and it will share its insights and experiences on the next generation of Beauty from Within supplements, including trend predictions , sustainability, and much more.
