THE Moisturizing facial lotion with SPF 50+ hydrates my skin while protecting it from the sun during training. No matter your age, gender or background, taking care of your skin is really important and it’s something I want to share with my platform. I joined forces with CeraVe specifically because it’s the product I use and because of its all-inclusive price, so people from all walks of life can use it too.
What are your favorite sportswear brands?
What are your favorite streetwear brands?
I love Drama Call, the founder Charlie Bows is one of my closest friends and to see what he has been able to build is incredible. I also like Corteiz, Aimé Léon Doré, Stussy and Supreme. I went to Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton Menswear show which was super inspiring and I will always have a special place in my heart for Virgil Abloh and Egg shell.
What are your training essentials?
Uh, Solar creamwater, a great playlist and headphones. They help me focus and are a big part of my routine, which helps me mentally prepare for the day and whatever I need to do, including training.
What item can you not live without?
Books and music can really change your outlook on everything. You can find a book on any topic or story and learn about an entire world you may never have known, or give you an idea/direction you may never have had. I really encourage everyone to try reading in some form: physically, digitally or as audiobooks – there will be a book that suits you.
The power of books is what inspired me to start my series of Children’s books and The Breakfast Club, because I want everyone to feel like they can succeed and be a part of everything.
What advice would you give to young aspiring footballers?
I know we’ve all heard it before, but success doesn’t happen overnight and remember to take care of yourself and believe in yourself along the way. Never give up: this has already been said a thousand times and for good reason. No one succeeds overnight. It takes years of hard work physically, mentally and emotionally behind the scenes. And don’t forget to take care of yourself and your skin!
With such a busy schedule, how can you relax and unwind?
I make sure to make time for my friends, family, and mentors. Many of them have completely different jobs than me, so talking with them and seeing their perspectives gives me a broader perspective and helps me unplug.
