Noklak, September 8 (MExN): The District Health Corporation, headed by Chief Medical Officer Noklak, and Integrated Child Development Services organized an anemia screening camp at Government Middle School, Noklak on September 7.
A DIPR report said a total of 150 students were screened for anemia. Food supplements and IFA tablets were also distributed to the students during the camp. The screening camp was conducted by the laboratory doctors.
Technicians, nurses and Anganwadi workers of Noklak town under the supervision of Hosea DPM and P Hemping, Senior Supervisor of Social Welfare Department, Noklak.
During the week-long program, an essay competition on the theme “Healthy Lifestyle” was also organized at the Noklak Village Government High School. CMO Noklak, Dr. Victor NC encouraged the students to inculcate healthy practices for a healthy mind and life. Dr. Meyachungla gave a lecture on menstrual hygiene and nutrition and welcomed them to the adolescent-friendly clinic for any health-related issues. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners for essay writing were Thongkoi H Sulim S and Thym, and two consolation prizes were awarded to Dongliu and Shongmao. The winners received cash prizes.
