In recognition of World Mental Health Day, this email has been sent to Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Members of the team.
Since 1992, World Mental Health Day was commemorated on October 10 to raise awareness and bring about positive change. The World Mental Health Foundation has been advocating for mental health awareness, education and healthcare for 75 years. The organization said the 2023 theme would be “mental health is a universal human right”.
Starting a conversation about mental health – whether you need help or have a friend or family member in need – can be the hardest part of the journey. If you are struggling, experts recommend you build a support system, find a peer group, actively participate in your treatment, and develop a recovery plan.
If you think someone is in crisis, communicate in a simple way and ask questions like: “I am someone who cares and wants to listen. What do you want me to know about how you feel…” or “I’m worried about you. Can we talk about what you’re going through? If not, who are you comfortable talking to? » Mental health should not be stigmatized. We encourage you to speak with a colleague, friend or family member if you need help.
