On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Guidance and Counseling Department of MES Indian School organized a session on the theme “Our Mind, Our Rights”.
Advisors from the Girls, Boys and Junior sections gave an overview of World Mental Health Day and covered topics such as self-awareness – steps to take to prioritize well-being, “how to help reduce stigma surrounding mental health in a community” and “raise awareness and promote mental health rights.”
Principal Dr. Hameeda Kadar emphasized the importance of students maintaining their well-being and healthy lifestyle. Boys and girls studying psychology attended a session on the theme “Our Mind, Our Rights”.
The program concluded with students committing to maintaining their mental well-being. Irene Thomas, Raihana Sharin K and Fashna Abdul Samad of the Department of Guidance and Counseling coordinated the event.
