Parents and guardians interested in learning how to support their children on mental health topics can learn more and gain new tools in a free webinar series.
In partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego’s Transforming Mental Health Initiative, the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is hosting free sessions to help families overcome mental health issues that are all too common among youth.
For educators and other school staff who support student mental health and well-being, Learn more about the webinar series designed for school staff.
“Our children and adolescents have experienced unprecedented loss and upheaval in their lives, combined with international war, growing national political division, high levels of adult stress and burnout, and increased access more than ever to social media platforms and online information,” said Mara Madrigal-Weiss, executive director of student well-being and school culture at SDCOE. “Our families need the tools to be able to identify mental health issues and get our young people the help they need.”
Parents, guardians and family members from across San Diego County are encouraged to attend. Registration is required to receive the membership link. Spanish interpretation will be available for each session.
All sessions take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
You can view recorded webinars on the Mental Health Supports Webpage.
