The increasing rates of mental health problems among young people are deeply concerning.
A national population health survey found an increase in mental health problems, from 13.4 percent in 2020 to 17 percent in 2022. The most affected group was young adults aged 19 to 29 years, with a staggering 25.3 percent experiencing problems. Another study by the National University of Singapore found that one in three adolescents in Singapore experience symptoms of depression and anxiety.
