NEWTOWN, PA — Pickering Manor will host a free seminar titled “Health and Wellness for Seniors” on Thursday, September 14 from 2:30 p.m.
The seminar is designed to educate and encourage healthy lifestyles through light fitness, nutrition and overall wellness. Refreshments will be served.
During this session, participants will learn exercise guidelines for older adults (65+), light exercises that can be done at home, general nutritional recommendations, and tips and tricks on way to maintain general well-being. Additionally, for those interested, there will be a live demonstration of Nordic Walking/Urban Poling. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
The seminar will be presented by Kaitlyn Joffey (PT, DPT, NCS), Doctor of Physical Therapy and owner of Let’s Get Moving, which provides at-home fitness, nutrition and wellness programs for adults ages 60 and up. more and those living with neurological problems. .
