He had set up his phone to film himself running. Then he surprised a man trying to take his phone. When confronted, the alleged thief claimed he was trying to put the phone back together. Fitness trainer Terence Ong posted a video of the incident on his Instagram. He told MS News that the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. at Punggol Park on December 17 and it was the first time such a thing had happened, even though he was filming his races and training from a time. He had attached his phone to a lamp post and was walking down the trail to film himself running. In the video, an unseen person grabs the phone from behind and appears to be trying to pull it away. A hand moves away to reveal Mr Ong looking at the suspected thief with one hand on his hip. “Uncle,” shouts the physical trainer. “No, I’m taking… I’m not taking,” stammers the alleged thief. “I want to give… give back to people. I know I saw you. He adds that he has his own phone, to which Mr Ong responds: “I know, so don’t touch it.” The “uncle” then tries to defuse the situation by complimenting Mr. Ong: “I want to ask you, you have a beautiful body, where do you train? After the fitness trainer tells him that he works out at the park every day, the alleged thief continues to defend himself and says, “No lah, I won’t take any.” I have the phone. The men argue over his excuses and the “uncle” leaves after repeating, “I thought people were giving up.” Mr Ong counters this argument by saying his phone was hung up. But he lets the man go and continues running. In the caption of his post, the fitness trainer advises everyone to “watch your business wherever you are”. But he seemed to see the funny side of the incident when he wrote: “If you get arrested for stealing, remember to compliment first.” »
