Joe BidenThe White House’s own staffers are concerned about his physical and mental abilities following a series of troubling mistakes as president, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The shocking development comes after the 79-year-old commander-in-chief’s latest gaffe on Friday when he accidentally read give instructions from their teleprompter before beginning their prepared speech.
These physical and mental errors have created a new sense of paranoia among his aides and staff, who reportedly told the Times that they fear President Biden will make another mistake every time he opens his mouth to give a speech or answer a journalist’s question.
White House staff members also told the outlet that they regularly worry that the president will trip and fall, which is why his aides now insist that he “wiggle” his feet when he walks in order to don’t “trip over a wire”.
Despite Biden’s many physical and verbal mistakes, his aides also revealed that he always remained “mentally engaged” as president and asked “intelligent questions” in meetings.
While Biden’s staff and aides have insisted the president is still “mentally engaged,” others believe President Biden — who is already the oldest person to serve as president — could be too old to seek re-election in 2024.
“I don’t think it’s inappropriate to apply for this position after 80 or after 80,” David Gergen, former senior advisor to four presidents, told the outlet. “I just turned 80, and I discovered over the last two or three years that it would have been unwise for me to try to run an organization.”
“You’re not as smart as you used to be,” he added.
